Flyers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Glace Bay wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Troy Conner, falling to the Newark Flyers, 3-2. Conner threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Jeff Reade notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. The win elevated the Flyers to 67-62.
Jose Mora, who is tied for 10th in the N-A with a .887 OPS, had a direct impact on the outcome. Mora contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Newark up, 3-2.
