8 Straight Wins for Stallions
|
Grand Rapids wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Adam Mesler, falling to the San Antonio Stallions, 6-4. Mesler threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Mike Braasch earned the save, his 6th in 6 tries. The Stallions improved their record to 75-55 with the win over Grand Rapids.
Victor Vanegas came through with a big-time hit for San Antonio. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said San Antonio manager Logan Greening.
