10 Straight Wins for Desperados
Santa Rosa starter Justin Hesley put a stranglehold on the St. Catharines offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Desperados to a 3-1 win. Roberto Callo, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Picking up the save was John Salgado, his 8th.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Ron Brook came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing St. Catharines pitcher Greg Mortenson, he hit a 2-2 changeup for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Santa Rosa on top, 3-1.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Hesley.

The Desperados have now reeled off 10 straight wins.
