Ambassadors Pull Off Thrilling 3-2 Win in Extras
The Fremont Ambassadors wiggled past the Tampa Capitals, 3-2, at Capitals Ballpark. The win was highlighted by the performance of Fremont pitcher Jon Caruso. Fremont reliever Micah Brown was the winner. His record is now 1-3. Tony Lopez took the loss. The win gives the Ambassadors a record of 35-91.

Fremont used the timely hitting of Dave Haines to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Ambassadors on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That's baseball," said Tampa manager Jayden Gamble. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
