Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Tyler Trolls and Cottage City Cannonballers.

The Tyler Trolls faced a tough opponent in Cottage City pitcher Omar Vega, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Cannonballers Ballpark by a final score of 5-3. Vega went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Tyler reliever Cameron Spruill was the winner. His record is now 3-6. Stewart Elliott took the loss. Justin Pratt got credit for the save for Tyler. It was his 10th of the year.

Tyler used the timely hitting of Alex Morales to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Trolls on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Tyler manager Will Brewer commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
