Jet Hawks Claim 8-4 Triumph
|
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks knocked off the Santa Rosa Desperados, 8-4, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Karl Aitcheson was a big reason Grand Rapids won. The shortstop was 4 for 4 with 4 singles. Grand Rapids starter Matt Lavender was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 9-7. The Jet Hawks have an impressive 82-46 record.
Grand Rapids took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Caleb Herd hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Jet Hawks.
