Geltz Helps Miners Beat Cannonballers, 11-7
The Glace Bay Miners trumped the Cottage City Cannonballers, 11-7, at Cannonballers Ballpark. Glace Bay right fielder Ray Geltz was terrific. He slugged 3 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring three times. Chris Williams earned the save for Glace Bay, his 1st. With the win, the Miners sit at 77-49.

With Glace Bay leading 6-1 in the top of the sixth, Geltz came up to bat against Cottage City pitcher Jaden Cornelius. Geltz hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 25th home run of the season put the Miners on top, 10-1.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Geltz.
