The Santa Rosa Desperados beat the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 6-5, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. The win was due in part to right fielder Nick Crawford, who was 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Matt Mullins got the save, his 16th in 18 chances. The triumph puts Santa Rosa at 81-44 for the season.
Crawford had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch changeup from Chris Soto, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Desperados a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Crawford.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Desperados manager Angel Cano.
