In a tight game between the St. Catharines Blue Jays and the Huntsville Rockets, pitcher Travis Anderson was terrific on the mound. The St. Catharines right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. Mario Hernandez, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-6. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Earning the save was Richard Dill. He's now cashed in 6 of 6 save opportunities.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Ibulaim Kabaila was at the plate when St. Catharines scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Blue Jays to go in front, 1-0.

"My gosh almighty, Travis was tremendous," said St. Catharines manager Walt DeRosier.

The Northern A West Division-leading Blue Jays are 79-46.
