Carson goes 3-for-4 in Santa Rosa Win
The Santa Rosa Desperados pinned a convincing loss on the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 9-2, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Craig Carson was a main factor in the win. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Santa Rosa. Dan Rank, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 11-6. The 4th-place Desperados sport a record of 74-49.

Willie Rodriguez had a big 3-run home run for the Desperados in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Santa Rosa leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Edward Southey and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Desperados on top, 6-2.

"I was able to square up some pitches," said Carson.
