Charlie Hunter pitched well, but the Tyler Trolls still lost the game, falling, 4-2, to the Glace Bay Miners at Trolls Field. Amir Hardnett came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-4. Bubba Byrne finished the game for Glace Bay and earned his 10th save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Craig Carson? The Glace Bay third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Miners on top, 3-0. For the game, Carson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Glace Bay manager Carlos Acevedo. "It's usually not just one thing."
The first-place Miners now sit at 82-41.
