Rockets Get Past Grand Rapids for 3-2 Win
The Huntsville Rockets got a strong performance from pitcher Joe Brackett, who stymied the Grand Rapids offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Ballpark of Austin. Huntsville reliever Mike Brown was the winner. His record is now 7-5. Andy Mendelson took the loss. Their 73-48 record puts the Rockets second in the Northern A West Division.

Ryan Schmiege was the walk-off hero for Huntsville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rockets pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Grand Rapids manager Sadayuki Nishikawa. "But we decided not to take it."
