Both offenses were relatively subdued at Miners Memorial Park. Fortunately for the St. Catharines Blue Jays, though, Gavin Williams was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, to lead his team past the Glace Bay Miners, 3-2. Randy Nitchals closed the game out for St. Catharines, earning his 10th save. The Blue Jays are now 73-48.

St. Catharines took a 3-2 lead on Williams's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Omar Valentin in the top of the sixth, propelled St. Catharines to the win.
