Deltas Spoil Great Performance by Pinto
Capitals Ballpark was the site for Northern A action featuring the Tampa Capitals and Deltaville Deltas.

The Deltaville Deltas spoiled a good performance by Tampa designated hitter Danny Pinto, bumping off Tampa, 10-8, at Capitals Ballpark. Pinto slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Rod Montalvo was the winner. He's now 1-9. The loser was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Danny Villa. Jim Unknown picked up the save for Deltaville, his 1st of the year.

Deltaville used the hitting of Chris Owens to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Deltas on top, 7-6. For the game, Owens had 2 home runs and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
