Capitals Make Cannonballers 2-1 Losers
The Cottage City Cannonballers and Tampa Capitals provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a low-scoring affair between the Tampa Capitals and the Cottage City Cannonballers, pitcher Aaron Kent was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tampa right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Capitals win. Kent, now 7-8, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

Ryan Mann had a direct impact on the outcome. Mann contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Tampa up, 2-0.

"Both teams played hard," said Tampa manager Matt Kaczmarczyk.

The Capitals now have a record of 54-67.
