Behind the hitting of Matt Mills, the Cottage City Cannonballers stopped the Fremont Ambassadors, 11-6. Mills slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Cannonballers. The Cannonballers go to 38-80 with the win.

The Cannonballers got a big hit from right fielder Kyle Ranke. Facing Fremont pitcher Jose Villalpando in the top of the fifth, Ranke pounded a bases-clearing double to right-center. His 10th double of the season put the Cannonballers ahead, 5-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Ranke after the game.
