The Newark Flyers defeated the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks by the score of 6-3. Chris Huseman starred for Newark, going 2-for-3 with 1 home run. The setback makes Grand Rapids 66-52.

Huseman contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Newark in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-1, Huseman took a fastball from Jonathan Lamas and stroked the home run to right. His 37th home run of the season allowed the Flyers to leap in front, 4-3.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Grand Rapids skipper Sadayuki Nishikawa.
