Dowdell Slugs Ambassadors to 6-4 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from shortstop Ryan Dowdell led the Fremont Ambassadors to a win over the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 6-4. The loss makes St. Catharines 56-62.
Dowdell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from William Hudgins, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Ambassadors a 6-4 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Dowdell.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Dowdell told the Fremont News.
