Rockets Rally to Nose Past Fremont
|
The Huntsville Rockets did just enough to sneak past the Fremont Ambassadors, 5-4, at Ballpark of Austin. Huntsville pitcher Paul Dolezal, in particular, had a standout performance. Luke Walley, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The last-place Ambassadors have lost 4 consecutive games.
The Rockets got a clutch hit from center fielder Matt Boyce. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rockets.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Fremont manager John McNair. "The effort was great."
