|
Kevin McCain was instrumental in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks. The third baseman was 3-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Deltaville Deltas. Craig Tasillo recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 6 for 7. Deltaville is now 38-76, Grand Rapids 72-42.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Alex Benitez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Grand Rapids pitcher Chris Brown, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Deltaville on top, 4-3.
"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Benitez told the Deltaville Bulletin.
