Ambassadors Get Thrilling 4-3 Win
The Fremont Ambassadors dealt the Glace Bay Miners a 4-3 loss in 10 innings at Ballpark of Fremont. Gregg Cuevas was the star on offense. He threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Fremont reliever Mike Brandon, now 2-1. The loser was Steve Oswald. Despite the win, the Ambassadors still have a pitiful 33-82 record.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dylan Talarico in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Oswald to win the game for Fremont. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game will make a man of you," said John McNair, the Fremont skipper, "if it doesn't kill you first."
