Santa Rosa Beats Glace Bay in Extra Innings
Santa Rosa Desperados starter Justin Hesley hurled his team past the Glace Bay Miners, 3-2. Kelly Powell, now 5-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The Desperados, at 92-22, have a comfortable 18-game lead in their division.

The Desperados got a clutch hit from center fielder Greg Biever. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Desperados.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Hesley.
