The inspired effort of Glace Bay right fielder Leo Cortez was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-3, to the Deltaville Deltas. Cortez went 3-3 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Alex Toro got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The defeat makes Glace Bay 77-37.

Deltaville used a clutch at-bat from Bobby Uribe to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Deltas ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I really like what we did out there today," Uribe said after the game.
