Miners Get Nifty 6-4 Win
|
Though he had a stellar game, Eric Hying could not prevent his team, the Kansas City Dust Devils, from losing, 6-4, to the Glace Bay Miners. Hying went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Miners now have a mark of 72-40.
Glace Bay took a 6-4 lead on Keith DiPiazza's 13th double of the season. The 2-run double, which DiPiazza hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kansas City pitcher Tim Morris visibly frustrated.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said DiPiazza.
