The Huntsville Rockets gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Huntsville Rockets did just enough to nip the Fremont Ambassadors, 3-2, in 11 innings. Huntsville pitcher John Hennig, in particular, had a standout performance. Huntsville reliever Joe Brackett was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Chris Zich took the loss.
Huntsville got a knockout punch from T.J. Walker. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Walker said.
Fremont, at 32-81, has lost 12 straight.
