Dust Devils Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rockets
The Kansas City Dust Devils besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Huntsville center fielder Chris Hartfield by beating the Rockets, 6-5, at Kansas City Grounds. Hartfield belted 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Kansas City reliever Josh DeYoe picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Tim Surber was saddled with the loss. The Dust Devils win now puts them at 50-61.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 24-year old shortstop Josh Randel had a real shot to win the game. Huntsville pitcher Tim Surber was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Randel hit a run-scoring single. The Dust Devils had a walk-off triumph.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Randel said.
