6-3 Win for Santa Rosa in Extras
The Santa Rosa Desperados downed the Cottage City Cannonballers, 6-3, at Cannonballers Ballpark. Mickey Michael led the way, going 3-for-7 for Santa Rosa. Antonio Velazquez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The last-place Cannonballers have lost 4 consecutive games.

Michael had a game-changing home run in the top of the 14th. On a 1-2 fastball from Stewart Elliott, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Desperados a 6-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Michael.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Michael told the Santa Rosa Herald. "It's as simple as that."
