The Santa Rosa Desperados defeated the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 5-2. Center Fielder Gary Nahum deserved a large share of the credit. Nahum went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Desperados. The Desperados have an impressive 68-42 record.

Nahum contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Santa Rosa in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Nahum took a fastball from Travis Anderson and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Desperados to leap in front, 4-2.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Nahum, "and then get after it again."
