Blue Jays Get Hard-Earned Win
St. Catharines Blue Jays starter Tony Vigil pitched a strong game against the Newark Flyers at Newark Fields, leading the Blue Jays to victory, 4-3. Picking up his 5th save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Mahoney. The loss makes Newark 58-52.

St. Catharines used the timely hitting of Ricky Rodrguez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Vigil.
