Glace Bay starter Troy Conner kept the Santa Rosa offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his curveball in leading the Miners to a 7-1 win. Conner yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-1. The Miners bumped their record to 68-41 with this latest triumph.

Patrick Gentry was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Glace Bay. The 23-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Shu-de Khu. It was his 93rd hit of the season.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Conner.
