The Rockets grabbed a win, 5-4, at Jet Hawks Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Grand Rapids pitcher Scott Barth. Barth went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mike Watts, who is tied for 7th in the N-A in holds with 8, nailed down the save. Their 54-51 record puts the Rockets second in the Northern A West Division.
Josh Dunn came through with a big-time hit for Huntsville. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Dunn said.
