Rockets Need Extra Innings to Top Miners, 6-2
The Huntsville Rockets topped the Glace Bay Miners by a score of 6-2 in 11 innings. Leading the way was first baseman Javier Gamboa. Gamboa went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Rockets. The Rockets, at 64-42, sit in second place in the Northern A West Division.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Gamboa delivered big-time for Huntsville, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Peter Hoster. The game-changing hit put the Rockets on top, 6-2.
