The Tampa Capitals overcame a good performance by Kansas City shortstop Bryan Farhi to knock off Kansas City, 9-7, at Kansas City Grounds. Farhi went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Tampa pitcher Aaron Kent got the win. He's now 6-8. Armando Sanchez was tagged with the loss. Picking up his 7th save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Keegan Flay.

Early in the game, second baseman Freddy Chavez had a 2-run double for Tampa. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Capitals on top, 3-1.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tampa skipper Matt Kaczmarczyk.

The defeat makes Kansas City 45-61.
