Miners Take Down Stallions, 8-6
The Glace Bay Miners battled the San Antonio Stallions into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Miners won it, finally, 8-6, in 11 innings. In the game, Glace Bay shortstop Nick Herron was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Miners saw their win-loss record go to 55-50. At the same time, the Stallions fell to 58-47.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Michael Soria came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing San Antonio pitcher John Schwartz, he hit a 1-1 splitter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Glace Bay on top, 8-6.

"We took home the win," said Soria. "What's not to like?"
