Getting offensive support from Nick Crawford, the Santa Rosa Desperados topped the Cottage City Cannonballers, 5-4. Crawford was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Desperados. Bill Blom was the winner. He's now 8-3. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Torres. Matt Mullins earned the save, his 15th in 16 tries.

With Santa Rosa trailing 2-1 in the top of the second, Crawford hit a fastball from Jon Torres for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Desperados ahead, 3-2.

"I was a little disappointed," said Cottage City manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."

Santa Rosa, at 69-33, is cruising.
