Stallions Suffer 7-1 Home Defeat
|
The umbrellas came out during the Huntsville-San Antonio contest at Alamo Field.
The Huntsville Rockets beat the San Antonio Stallions, 7-1. Huntsville pitcher and Lombard, Illinois, native Mike Bruce led the way. Bruce, the winner, moves to 6-7. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks.
Huntsville used the hitting of Josh James to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rockets on top, 7-1. For the game, James had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Bruce.
The Rockets bumped their record to 58-46 with this win.
