Brook Helps Santa Rosa Cruise to 13-3 Win
The Santa Rosa Desperados pinned a convincing loss on the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 13-3, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Ron Brook was a main factor in the win. He went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Santa Rosa. Santa Rosa reliever Kevin McDonald picked up the win to move to 3-1. Ricardo Muniz suffered the loss. The Desperados boast a remarkable 85-19 record.

Santa Rosa used a big swing from Gary Nahum to get the win. The left fielder walloped a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Desperados up, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

Santa Rosa manager Carlos Acevedo was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
