The Tampa Capitals picked up a win at Capitals Ballpark, topping the Santa Rosa Desperados, 5-3. On the mound for Tampa was right-hander Cristofer Sanchez. He played a principal role in the triumph. The 5th-place Desperados now sit at 45-57.

Antonio Lopez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Tampa get the win.

"Cristofer did a good job keeping the game under control," said Tampa manager Matt Kaczmarczyk.
