In a low-scoring contest between the St. Catharines Blue Jays and the Tampa Capitals, David Tirado, who is tied for 6th in the N-A with a 2.73 ERA, proved to be the difference. The St. Catharines right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Blue Jays win. The first-place Blue Jays are 62-40.
Mike Wisler cracked a home run off Dave Gonzalez in the bottom of the fifth. His solo blast put the Blue Jays on top, 1-0. In all, Wisler had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
