Victors Again, St. Catharines Win Streak at 8
Huntsville first baseman Javier Gamboa had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rockets dropped a 7-5 decision to St. Catharines at Engineers Ballpark. Gamboa was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. St. Catharines reliever Andy Mahoney was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Dan Johnson. Picking up his 2nd save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Vigil.

The Rockets had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Blue Jays going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Eric Stogdill came to the plate. Stogdill hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 sinker from Huntsville hurler Eric Mohr. It was Stogdill's 1st home run of the year.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said St. Catharines manager Freddy Coss.

The first-place Blue Jays bumped their record to 65-37.
