Ambassadors Come Up Short at Newark, 4-3
Newark picked up a win at Newark Fields, bumping off the Fremont Ambassadors, 4-3. Pitcher Jason Gaiser was a major reason the Flyers emerged victorious. Chris Schreurs recorded the save, his 1st. Newark, at 61-39, holds down 4th place in the Northern A East Division.

Fernando Espindola, who is tied for 7th in the N-A in triples with 4, helped out the Newark cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"Jason gave us a heck of an effort," said Newark manager Matt Conners.
