The Kansas City Dust Devils got a superb performance from pitcher Joey Russak, but the Fremont Ambassadors still won the game, 3-0. Russak threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Lee Waters got the save, his 7th in 8 chances. The win gives the Ambassadors a record of 30-69.

Chris Alexander delivered a big hit for Fremont. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ambassadors ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

Afterward, Ambassadors manager John McNair said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
