Santa Rosa Absorbs 2-0 Loss to San Antonio
|
Starting pitcher Dan Tettemer gave the San Antonio Stallions a rock-solid effort. The Murrieta, California native helped his team defeat the Santa Rosa Desperados, 2-0, at Alamo Field. Bobby Williams earned his 2nd save in 3 chances. The Stallions now have a record of 41-60.
Julio Pacheco had a big run-scoring double for the Stallions in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Antonio leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Ken Fox and swatted a double to right. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stallions ahead, 2-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Pacheco.
