Pinto Hits Two Homers in 7-0 Win for Tampa
Led by Danny Pinto, the Tampa Capitals defeated the Huntsville Rockets, 7-0. Pinto hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Capitals. Dave Leonetti, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held Huntsville to no runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Their 57-44 record puts the Capitals 5th in the Northern A East Division.

Terry Chapin had a big 2-run home run for the Capitals in the bottom of the third inning. With Tampa leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Adam Williams and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Capitals on top, 3-0.

Chapin told a Tampa Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
