The Tyler Trolls defeated the Glace Bay Miners, 5-1, in Northern A action at Miners Memorial Park. Tyler pitcher Mark Galinski had a standout performance. Justin Pratt recorded his 15th save for Tyler. The loss makes Glace Bay 64-36.

Tyler used the hitting of Ryan Syfrett to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Trolls on top, 2-0. For the game, Syfrett had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Trolls manager Will Brewer, "I like our chances."
