Herrera Helps Halifax Cruise to 11-3 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Gangsters and Halifax Heathens get after it.

Heathens third baseman Julio Herrera left his mark on his team's 11-3 win over the Chicago Gangsters. Herrera, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft, went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for Halifax in the contest. Joe Hart earned the win for Halifax. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1.

With Halifax leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Herrera hit a sinker from Dave Harvey for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Heathens ahead, 6-0.

"Julio was ready to go. Big day for him," said Halifax manager David Morris.

Chicago has now lost 4 consecutive games.
