With 7-2 Win, Miners Go to 61-35

The Glace Bay Miners called upon starter Troy Conner, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Newark Flyers, 7-2. The Miners own a robust 61-35 mark.
It could have been a different outcome for Glace Bay, had it not been for Bobby Banuelos, the 23-year old center fielder . Banuelos contributed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Glace Bay up, 6-2.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Conner.
