Rockets Suffer 8-1 Loss to Fremont
The Huntsville Rockets had to reckon with Fremont Ambassadors hurler Gerardo Matute. Matute overwhelmed the opposition in the 8-1 Ambassadors triumph. The winning pitcher was Matute, now 1-2. He tossed 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Picking up his 2nd save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Xavier Tomlin.

Jimmy Kimmel had a big solo home run for the Ambassadors in the bottom of the third inning. With Fremont leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Ruben Lopez and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 13th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ambassadors ahead, 2-0.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Matute.

The Rockets have now dropped 5 straight.
