Glace Bay Miners starter Aaron Tanguay was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Santa Rosa Desperados, 3-0. The win hiked the Glace Bay record to 69-27.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Miners had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder Leo Cortez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Greg Brando and made the score 1-0, Miners. Cortez was 1-3 with a hit by pitch. He drove in 2 runs.
