Tampa turned a fine outing from starter Andy Espindola into a victory over the Deltaville Deltas at Rogers Centre. The final score was 3-2. Keegan Flay snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-4 on the season. Craig Tasillo suffered the loss. The 5th-place Capitals bumped their record to 40-58.

Tampa needed the clutch hitting of Brian Bopp to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Capitals on top, 3-2. For the game, Bopp had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every loss hurts," said Deltaville manager Edgar Hernandez. "But this was a tough one."
