Huntsville right-hander Jon Clark pitched his team to victory over the Newark Flyers at Ballpark of Austin. The final score was 3-1. Brent Holt picked up the save, his 9th. The win for the Rockets lifted their record to 53-44.

In the bottom of the fourth, Grant Murphy delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Huntsville shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Rockets in front, 3-1.

Murphy told a Huntsville Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
